Jesus didn’t die so we could merely go to church!
Christianity started as a revolution of heaven breaking into earth that affected government practices, legislation, art, literature, music, philosophy, etc. Since Jesus came billions of people have learned about what it even means to be human. God who created people in his image giving them inborn dignity not because of where they live or what they’ve accomplished. They had this inborn dignity because they were created in the image of God.
The church has been the most monumental, cultural transformation our world has ever seen. AS PART OF THE CHURCH WE ARE STEWARDS OF THAT MOVEMENT! We have a choice of either taking from it, consuming it, leaving it weaker (I’m going to heaven) or we can truly engage. To engage together is to continue to influence the conscience of humanity in the world.
The Apostle Paul starts using new language that has become very common to us. You are the body of Christ and each one of you is a part of this body. What Jesus did, go and do those things! This is not just consuming content and attending as much as you can with all you have going on in your busy life.
John 13:34-35 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. 35 By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another. ESV
Jesus gives the ultimate identity marker of the Church: The supernatural love of God will come alive in you! Think about a group of people you have identified with and there was a sense of chemistry: co-workers, friends at the gym, parents at kids’ sporting events, etc.
Is the love you experience w your church fam all that different? It should be!!!
This kind of love awakened in our hearts will absolutely capture the attention of the world! Being genuinely connected is a source of witness to the world because it is such a source of strength to our blessed lives.
The life God created you to live is not the life you can live alone. You must discover the joy of community to experience the fullness of life.
After meeting with our elders and meeting with our staff, we really believe God is bringing our attention to a more active revelation of The Table in 2026!
When Jesus wanted to explain to his disciples what his death was all about, he didn’t give them an informative lecture. He gave them a relational meal at the table.

This is a beautiful expression of salvation. For God so LOVED the world that He sent his Son to FORGIVE US, redeem us, restore us and commune with us. Revelation 3 speaks of how when we let Jesus into our hearts we eat with him.
