Blog: Conversation of Restoration

December 14, 2025

Isaiah 9:6 For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulders, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. ESV

So many things we could say to describe Jesus. Notice the first description in this text, “Wonderful counselor!” Have you ever had bad advice? Jesus is our wonderful counselor offering good advice born from the Good News of the Gospel! This is the:

John 1:1 In the beginning was the WORD, and the WORD was with God, and the WORD was God. ESV

The WORD seems pretty important! The original text is, “Logos”, where we get our word, “Logic”. The word actually means conversation, language, thought and reason ultimately speaking of the expression of ideas.

If God sent a word to solve world’s problems that means the conversation of truth is what the world needs.

John 1:14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from The Father, full of grace and truth ESV

The conversation of restoration is full of grace and truth! The progressive left promotes the idea of being woke as being enlightened and inclusive all in the name of love. The Bible has some things to say about love.

1 Corinthians 13 is the famously known chapter of love. Verse 6 is a central phrase in this love chapter:

1 Corinthians 13:6 (Love) does not rejoice in unrighteousness but rejoices with the truth. NAS

True love does not rejoice in unrighteousness. True love does not delight in or rejoice in that which is offensive to God. True love does not rejoice in the rejection of God’s good and perfect design of male, female, husband and wife. True love does not rejoice in the rejection of truth in any way.

As followers of Jesus, we must remember that true love is always tethered to truth.

Samantha Fulnecky, an OU Pre-Med Student Received a Zero on an assignment asking students to “provide their opinion and reaction to an article about gender identity.”

She pointed to scripture as the basis for her opinions. This assignment resembled previous assignments for the class, and she received 100% on every other assignment prior to this.

Any paper submitted with a name and any content would normally receive some kind of score, even if just 10-20 points. This instructor gave a “0” as if nothing had been turned in at all because the teacher was offended by the student’s faith and beliefs.

It seems that DEI (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion) is just code for discrimination against sacred beliefs that have been handed down throughout the ages. Throughout the ages God sent prophets full of grace and truth! Most of them were mocked, ignored, beaten and killed. Truth confronts the dominant ideas of the world.

True love does not call good evil and evil good. A person who truly loves is a person who does not rejoice in unrighteousness but rather rejoices in truth. In our day people giving misinformation label others telling the truth, as misinformation. We represent a Right side Up Kingdom in this Upside-down world!

Isaiah 5:20-21 (The unrighteous) say what is right is wrong and what is wrong is right; that black is white and white is black; bitter is sweet and sweet is bitter. 21 Woe to those who are wise and shrewd in their own eyes! TLB

The enemy always uses the same strategy twisting the truth. He tries to replace the truth with seductive lies.
