As we journey into Genesis 6, Noah’s Ark we’re going to look at what it means to be the ark builders of our generation building well and creating a space of safety and refuge for our 5’ circle in this fallen broken world.
WE ARE THE ARK BUILDERS OF OUR GENERATION.
There is a generational blessing that comes from walking with God. This points to the generational architecture we’ve been looking at in our study of the book of Genesis.
Genesis 6:9 ”…Noah walked (lived) (in habitual fellowship) with God.” AMP
Interestingly the same was written of his great grandfather, Enoch.
Genesis 5:24 Enoch walked [in habitual fellowship] with God... AMP
What does it mean to Walking in this “habitual fellowship with God looks different for every person. We are all at different ages and different stages of life. Be intentional with this whatever it looks like for you. You can have a living, functioning, vibrant relationship with God operating in your life on a daily basis. Every decision is just a discussion you have with the God as your way of life, praying without ceasing.
This kind of relationship with God in your life will affect generations of people. And this is generational architecture.
After the Fall, Cain killed Abel and we begin to see the multiplication of sin. Violence continues to multiply and by the time you reach Genesis 6 it has become normalized.
Genesis 6:11 Now the earth was corrupt in God’s sight, and the earth was filled with violence. ESV
Noah interrupts a corrupted generational line as a type and shadow of Christ. He models what we are all capable of doing through our surrender to the blood of Jesus.
If you accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, then the blood of Christ speaks for you. If you reject the sacrifice of Christ, the blood will speak against you. If people rejected Noah’s message they drowned in the water. For those who accepted Noah’s message the water lifted them to safety because they were in the Ark.
Just like brokenness can pass through generations so can blessing. That’s what Jesus came to awaken within us all and this is what Noah demonstrated as a type of Christ in Genesis.
Build well. Don’t cut corners. You don’t want any leaks or cracks on this journey of working out your salvation with fear and trembling before the Lord.

Psalm 115:16 The heavens belong to our God, they are His alone, but He has given us the earth and put us in charge. (The Passion Translation)
That means what happens in heaven is up to God. What happens in our hearts and our homes in the earth is up to us. Your Kingdom come Lord your will be done on earth (in Oklahoma City) as it is in heaven.
My citizenship is in heaven. My dominion is in the earth, and my authority is in Christ!
WE ARE THE ARK BUILDERS OF OUR GENERATION.
Sometimes we want to say, I wish this whole mess would stop. God says that whole mess will stop when you step into your place in Christ in the midst of that mess!
Noah believed God when it looked like it was impossible to believe God. Nobody else was believing God. "Well, nobody in my family, or at my work, believes like I do.” You must be the ark builder then. You may be the very one that God's going to use to start a whole new legacy of walking in habitual fellowship with God.

Finish Whole: What sin have you normalized that God wants to disrupt and address in your life?
Finish Free: Waves of grief are being met with even greater waves of grace right now.
